Night delivery manager

Role Overview

As the Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing night operations, ensuring our delivery drivers are supported throughout their shifts. You’ll act as the main point of contact overnight, managing any operational challenges, maintaining clear communication with drivers, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee night operations and ensure the smooth running of delivery schedules.
• Provide real-time support to drivers, resolving any delivery, vehicle, or route issues during the night.
• Occasionally when required will support the routes yourself.
• Monitor stock and loading accuracy, escalating issues where necessary.
• Maintain communication with the Site Manager to report on performance, incidents, or operational concerns.
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to during the night shift.
• Lead by example to promote a positive and safe working environment.
• Assist with handovers to the day team to ensure continuity of operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a supervisory, management, or coordination role, ideally in logistics, transport, or warehousing.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with basic IT systems and reporting tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £130.00 per day
