Night Manager

Job Description
Reporting to the Asst. Operations Manager, your main duties will involve overseeing all aspects of reception in the night in relation to the Statham Lodge Hotel, including (but not limited to):
- Managing the reception and required F&B operation during nights by executing and assigning all related jobs to ensure all related duties are managed and maintained, and all public areas are well looked after to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.
- Answering all inquiries regarding company policies, services, and handling of any guest complaints
- Observe and manage the front desk operation to ensure consistently high guest satisfaction
- Respond to and resolve any guest complaints in a timely manner and to a satisfactory standard or report immediately to your superior to solve
- Be observant and ensure that a high level of guest security is maintained
- Ensure that all Guestline PMS related job tasks are completed in a timely manner to ensure that no tasks left behind for the daytime.
- Ensure all Health, Safety & Fire matters are effectively communicated to the Managers and Supervisors accordingly
- Ensure that night patrols are conducted properly to ensure the wellbeing and safety of hotel clients
- In the event of any difficult situation during nights, to ensure that the authorities are contacted, and appropriate action is taken to ensure guest safety and well being
- Ensure that no abuse is taken on behalf of any staff during the night shift and any such incidents are reported to the General Manager or Asst. Operations Manager
- Ensure all health & safety regulations are closely monitored during the time of your duties and any discrepancies are immediately reported to the General Manager
- Ensuring that guest billing is accurate on check-out and payment is received on departure complying with hotel procedures
- Ensure that all bar revenues and reception revenues are balanced as per required standards and anomalies are reported back to the Financial Controller's attention
- Ensuring all entrances to the hotel and car park are locked at an appropriate time and full night security measures are followed for the safety of staff and guests. This includes all hotel emergency/fire evacuation procedures complying with Health & Safety requirements
- All necessary guest records are filed and kept secure for future references.
- You may from time to time be required to undertake additional tasks as directed by the General Manager, for example to cover sick leave, holidays or during busy periods.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
