Night Nanny

Are you an experienced and compassionate Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Night Nanny looking to support a wonderful growing family? Pb+J Collective is seeking a dedicated professional to provide reliable overnight care for a newborn in Zephyr Cove. We have a history of placing trusted caregivers with this family, and they're excited to welcome another expert to help them through this important postpartum period.

This role focuses exclusively on newborn care, allowing you to provide focused, gentle support. The new mom will be recovering at home, and the family is seeking a calm, confident, and knowledgeable professional to ensure everyone gets the rest they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide loving, attentive, and safe care to the newborn throughout overnight hours.
• Support all aspects of infant care, including safe sleep practices, diapering, feeding (bottle or bringing baby to parent for breastfeeding), and soothing techniques.
• Assist with feeding sessions and offer breastfeeding/lactation support if requested.
• Maintain detailed logs of sleep, feedings, and diaper changes.
• Offer professional newborn care guidance and sleep-shaping strategies as requested by parents.
• Ensure a quiet, calm, and organized nighttime environment.

Light Baby-Related Housekeeping:

• Wash and sanitize bottles and pump parts.
• Refresh linens in the nursery/sleeping areas if needed.
• Keep nursery and baby's immediate sleeping areas tidy.
• Handle baby laundry if time permits during downtime.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experienced: Minimum 3+ years of professional newborn or overnight care experience.
• Certified: Certified NCS, postpartum doula, or equivalent professional training strongly preferred.
• Knowledgeable: Strong understanding of infant sleep patterns, soothing techniques, feeding routines, and infant safety/SIDS prevention.
• Professional & Respectful: Comfortable working in a home with parents present, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
• Patient & Responsive: A kind, patient, and adaptable approach to newborn care and family needs.
• Dog-Friendly: Comfortable around a sweet family dog.
