Our operational team are undertaking a challenging and engaging workload, and in a time critical industry we are looking for a sense of aspiration and enthusiasm in the right candidate.
As a Night Shift Receptionist, you shall be responsible for representing some of our largest clients, and act as a first point of contact for all related enquiries. With your duties inclusive of daily reports, data management and excellent liaison practice, you shall be at the centre of an enticing and highly active environment!
Responsibilities include an ability to adapt to situations and determine the most appropriate solution for each scenario. Ask yourself, what is the customer requesting? What would the most suitable approach be? Primarily, one of the main priorities are customers; we expect this to be a top priority for the right candidate. An understanding of commercial, light, industrial and family vehicles, such as articulated Lorries or rigid body trucks is desirable.
Computer literacy is desirable for this job role; you will be using Microsoft Excel, Word and handling emails. It is imperative that individuals applying for this position understand the need to acknowledge the customers preferences, arrangements made with the company and so on. Responsibilities for the role are inclusive of and may not be limited to:
- Cash control - Counting the till / Giving out petty cash and receiving cash from jobs.
- Answering the phone and handling customer queries in a timely and effective manner
- Sending and receiving emails, categorising them appropriately and handling with confidence.
- Booking vehicles for collection from our site.
- Booking storage vehicles into our site from agents and our drivers as they arrive.
- Monitoring where vehicles go to maximize space available
- General Security making sure yard is secure, monitoring who comes in and out and checking cctv for Compound 2 and Main Site (Live)
- Helping members of the public and liaising with other departments to resolve movements or create new movements.
- Assisting drivers with general queries
- Complete a handover at the end of every shift.
- Complete all front office and administration tasks
- Flexibility for overtime to cover holidays.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (desirable)
Shifts are based on a working pattern of four days on, four days off on 12 hour shifts, 18:00pm - 06:00am.
The Company operates a pension scheme in which you may be eligible to participate (subject to criteria) upon successful completion of the probationary period (set at three months).
On site parking is available.
Company events occur periodically, allowing for opportunities to establish relationships with colleagues and industry professionals.
Strong presence on the TV Programme "Trucking Hell".
