Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of students by providing monitoring and supervision throughout the night. Support the students environmentally and emotionally by administering pre-developed individual treatment plans.
- Utilize the agency's crisis intervention model including the ability to perform physical restraint techniques, if absolutely necessary.
- Focus on maintaining a stable and secure atmosphere, conducting regular safety checks, offering support as needed. This allows for flexibility during appropriate downtime to engage in light, non-disruptive tasks such as homework, while ensuring student safety and readiness to respond when needed.
- Pre-shift planning to review and prepare for shift schedule. Typical night shift duties may include light support for evening routines including following meal and laundry schedule, accommodating other student needs throughout the shift.
- Contribute to post-shift debriefing at the end of each shift.
- Ensure completion of required mental health and program documentation within mandatory compliance standards. (Tools and training provided.)
- Engage in communication with legal guardians, residential staff, and agency staff as needed.
- Promote student success by developing positive support relationships with students. Work to understand students emotional and physical needs. Recognize student strengths and help connect students' feelings to their behaviors to promote self-awareness and help guide students to making lasting change.
- Engage students in formal processing methods under the agency crisis intervention model to help understand how students can be better served.

This position may require driving an insured company vehicle to transport students between locations.
- At least 21 years old
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- High School Diploma or GED
- Agree to a Background Screening and Drug Test upon hire

Possess a valid NC Drivers License
