Night Shift Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, efficiently handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies.
• Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance the shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products as needed and engage in upselling techniques to promote additional sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including restocking supplies as necessary.
• Support supervisory staff by assisting in training new cashiers and providing guidance when needed.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.
• Cleaning store, washrooms, pumps

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.

• Basic math skills are essential for handling cash transactions accurately.
