Flooring Superstore is an award winning online and offline flooring retailer. We sell a wide range of floor types including specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass. We began opening up retail stores over 8 years ago to compliment our online presence. Since then, we have opened 40+ stores nationwide, with many more planned to open in 2025 and beyond.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Night Loader to work at our Daventry depot where everyone works as a team.

The role

Working in a small team you will ensure nightly workloads are carried out accurately, effectively, safely and efficiently. Meet customer's requirements whilst loading vehicles. You will be responsible for safely loading vehicles ranging from 3.5T Vans to 18T HGV’s, accurately accounting for stock being loaded.

Some movement of vehicles in the yard may be required so entitlement to drive a C1 or C category vehicle would be desirable but not essential.

Main Duties include:

• Split Orders and allocate to Vehicle Routes
• Report any damaged or missing stock
• Check Vehicles being loaded for any defects
• Accurately Load Vehicles
• To ensure all loads are double checked prior to loading and after loading to minimize any loading errors.
• To ensure that the cleanliness, tidiness, and all that is associated with “Good Housekeeping” in the depot and/or any other area of the site is maintained to the highest possible standard.
• To adhere to the instruction given by Supervisory Management

What you will bring

With your current warehouse experience and knowledge, you will be highly self-motivated and work well as part of a small team and be able to follow instructions, as well as lead team members when required. Attention to detail and multitasking will play a big part in this role to ensure stock has been correctly loaded onto each vehicle.

Due to the nature of the role as a night loader, you will be physically fit and be expected to work under your own initiative without the need for supervision and be able to meet your workload in a timely manner.

Other Essential Requirements:

• Full Driving License
• FLT , Reach Truck and/or Counter balance experience essential
• Warehouse experience essential
• Previous Experience in a similar role.
• Confidence, self-motivation, and enthusiastic
• Basic IT skills for reporting stock discrepancies
• A good team player

Desirable

• HGV2 Licence.

Salary and Hours:

Working 38 hours a week Monday to Thursday night shift times are 2000hrs - 0615hrs including 45 minute break

£14.50 per hour £28,652 per annum plus occasional overtime.
