This is a unique opportunity to be an incredibly important part of someone’s recovery journey. We are looking for a Behavioral Health Technician (Recovery Coach) to join our team in our beautiful residential / detox facility near Palm Springs. Our programs are 100% voluntary, and the patients we serve come to us looking for a WOW experience. We are looking for Recovery Coaches that are passionate about making a real difference in our patients’ lives and who are excited about the prospect of helping them discover a new sober life.
The Recovery Coach will provide emotional support, help clients create a recovery plan, connect clients with resources for housing, employment and healthcare, and monitor clients’ progress towards their recovery goals. The Recovery Coach has personal experience with recovery, possesses exceptional communication skills and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals struggling with addiction.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support clients in their recovery from addiction and guide them towards a satisfying and meaningful life
- Help clients develop a personalized recovery plan
- Connect clients with resources for housing, employment, education, and healthcare
- Monitor clients’ progress and adjust recovery plans as needed
- Provide emotional support and motivation
- Work closely with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences
- Maintain accurate records and report on clients’ status

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Experience as a Recovery Coach or similar role in mental health services
- Personal experience with recovery is a plus
- Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and recovery resources

Certification from a recognized coaching federation is a plus
Pay Range : $22.00 - $24.00/hr
Shift and Schedule:

Full-time Night Shift: 12:00am - 8:30am, Monday through Friday
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to document care accurately and educate guests effectively.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately in a fast-paced or emotionally charged environment.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify guests’ needs and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the current provider's vehicle insurance.
- Must provide proof of private vehicle insurance.

Must have or obtain within six months of hire CPR certification and maintain such.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, operation and experience with keyboarding.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to present a positive working environment.

Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner.
