The Salvation Army (Salvos) Youth Services encompasses a range of programs for vulnerable young people, their families, and the community. Our services have a strong focus on prevention and early intervention and enable access to safe accommodation options, Holistic case management, community outreach programs and programs that teach vital independent living skills. About the role
As a Night Support Worker, this is your opportunity to provide short-term accommodation in a safe environment for young people aged 15 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a casual position located in Karratha.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Crisis Award.
How you will make an impact
Establish effective relationships with young people and key stakeholders to enhance outcome for young people facing homelessness.
Encourage self-determination and participation of each individual.
Encourage the connection to service, and the wider community.
Develop Individual case plans in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that clearly address the need of the client.
Provide case Management support in accordance with the contractual requirements of service delivery.
What you will bring
Ability and experience in Youth Work / Residential Care
Able to fulfil own work obligations with little supervision
High quality of written, oral, interpersonal & problem solving skills
Able to interpret and follow policies & procedures
A valid drivers license
A valid Working with Childrens Check
