Night Time Care Assistant

Care assistant required for a minimum of 20 hours per week plus overtime for holiday/sickness cover etc to care for a maximum of 14 elderly residents within our small, friendly home, in a dignified and respectful manner ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for all.

Shifts will include weekend nights.

At least 5 years experience of working within a residential care setting is essential and a minimum of NVQ Level 2 / Care Certificate and training in safe administering of Medication, as the night shift is a lone working position. Full Training within our routines will be given.
Duties include assisting with all aspects of our Residents daily lives such as assisting with all personal care, toileting, mobility, preparing meals and assisting with feeding, administering medicines, laundering clothes, cleaning, leasing with health care professionals, competently completing all paperwork necessary in line with all legal requirements etc.
A genuine, caring nature is essential and a good all round understanding of Health and Social Care is required such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Medication Administration etc is required for this role.
Rate of pay is £12.25 per hour during the week and £12.50 at weekend.
