On Call Recovery Technician

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Weston Recovery Services. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with vehicle recovery operations and ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and safely. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our reputation for excellent service in the recovery industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recovery of vehicles from various locations as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on recovery vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding recovery operations.
• Drive flatbed and other recovery vehicles as needed for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of recovered vehicles and related documentation.
• Support warehouse operations when necessary, including loading and unloading vehicles.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial driving or vehicle recovery preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Valid driving license with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by operational needs.

We are flexible and can look at a working rota with you to incorporate your needs, but there is an on call element to the rota that we need to cover over night and on weekends. The primary basis of this on call work will be to cover our Police and Highways contracts removing vehicles from incident location back to base.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £39,000.00 per year
