Operations Change-Over Crew Member - Overnight

The Opportunity

The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking dependable overnight employees that are interested in how our venue is configured for the events held at the FedExForum. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a cohesive team and take in the magic of event production. As we provide a variety of various events for our arena, such as basketball games, comedic performances, concerts, and numerous business events, all team members undergo training. If you are a go-getter, enjoy working with your hands, and are curious about how the arena is transformed from show to show, this is the job for you. We are now accepting applications until June 15, 2025 for consideration for this role. The job training for this position will start in August with events starting in October.

In This Role You Will

• Participate in the set-up, execution, and break-down of FedEx Forum and Grizzlies and Tigers home games and non-basketball events
• Working with both manual and power tools to dismantle, assemble stage and court equipment
• Layout chairs and equipment as needed for various events
• Ability to operate miscellaneous equipment safely
• Perform manual labor that requires heavy lifting
• Adapt to operational changes made in the last minutes
• Ensure that directives are understood, and appropriate action is taken to meet and exceed their expectations.
• Support challenging overnight conversions and change-overs
• Work cohesively and positively within a flexible, customer-service-oriented team
• Comply with all OSHA and safety codes as well as applicable building codes as required
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

The Experience You Will Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months of related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multi-tasks constantly
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively
• Dynamic, hard-working, confident
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
  
  

Nice To Have

• Ability to drive a forklift and other lift equipment as required
• Knowledge of sports and entertainment, specifically NBA basketball.
