Regional School Unit No. 57Office of the SuperintendentWaterboro, Maine 04087OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBERREPORTS TO: Grounds SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: 1. A high school or Technical School Diploma.2. A minimum of one year of experience in building or machinery maintenance or the equivalent.3.
Working knowledge of requirements and techniques in sports field maintenance and groundsmaintenance, with additional knowledge or experience with light carpentry and/or custodialwork. Additionally, knowing or having experience in winter snow removal operations in acommercial setting.4. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, parents, community and schoolpersonnel.WORK YEAR: Year RoundJOB GOAL: Under the direct supervision of the Grounds Supervisor provide safe, efficient, and working physicalgrounds and athletic fields within the district, as well as carrying out winter snow removal operationsand assisting in building maintenance or custodial departments as needed in winter months.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To regularly inspect all grounds and athletic fields for safety, security, upkeep, and maintenance.2.
Carry out all cultural practices (mowing, weed whacking, seeding, aeration, etc.) on all grasssurfaces as well as maintenance of the artificial turf field.3. Complete winter snow removal operations, including plowing, snow blowing, scraping andtreatment of sidewalks and any other areas determined by the district. This may include earlymornings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the district.4. Maintain any District provided vehicles and keep in good working order and clean/organizedcondition.5.
Communicating with the Grounds Supervisor often as to the status of work orders and regularwork responsibilities on grounds and athletic fields.6. Communicate with the Grounds Supervisor to determine supplies, parts, and services neededfor grounds maintenance assignments and projects.7. Some athletic field preparation may require nights or weekends.8. Performance of any other duties as requested.
