Healthcare Night Shift Part-time

Job Description

Duties

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and accurately document all administrations
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure that individuals’ dietary needs and restrictions are followed
  • Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
  • Follow individualized care plans and implement behavior support strategies as directed
  • Document daily progress notes and report any significant changes or incidents to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role preferred
  • Knowledge of systems and procedures related to direct care services
  • Experience in dementia care, home care, or nursing home settings is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and team members
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed
  • Must pass all required background checks and screenings

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 36 per week
