Join our team as we prepare to launch the Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overnight Houseperson/ Valet Attendant. You will play an essential part of the housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

As an Overnight Houseperson/Valet Attendant you will report directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Executive Housekeeper. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel’s public areas, guest rooms and back-of-house spaces. You will be also responsible for the overnight valet attendant position. You will be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, providing warm, professional, and attentive service. You will greet guests upon arrival, assist with luggage, provide information about the hotel and local area, and safely park and retrieve guest vehicles. You will provide friendly, authentic and efficient housekeeping service to our guest in line with the Hilton’s “Hamptonality” spirit. Your responsibilities include:

Housekeeping Service and Operations

· Assist housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest rooms and other hotel areas as needed.

· Maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors, hallways, stairwells and public restrooms.

· Remove trash from guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces daily.

· Regularly clean and maintain the cleanliness of public areas such as the lobby, dining area, restrooms, elevators and hallways.

· Vacuum carpets, mop floors, wipe down surfaces, clean window and ensure public spaces are tidy and always presentable.

· Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition.

Guest Satisfaction

· Create a welcoming and pleasant environment for guests by maintaining a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

· Respond promptly to guest requests for extra linens, towels, or other amenities with a courteous and professional demeanour.

· Assist guest with luggage handling or other requests when necessary, ensuring a positive guest experience.

· Assist in maintaining a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for guests during your shift.

Team Development

· Foster a positive respectful and inclusive team environment by working cooperatively with fellow housepersons, housekeeping attendants, front desk agents, maintenance and management.

· Actively participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and Hilton brand initiatives.

· Share guest feedback and observations with team members and supervisors to support continuous improvement,

· Support new team members by helping, answering questions, and helping with onboarding when appropriate,

· Take initiative in cross-training opportunities to enhance knowledge of other hotel departments and improve operational flexibility.

Safety and Compliance

· Adhere to all hotel safety policies and procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning products and equipment.

· Follow Hilton’s Health and Safety Standards to ensure the cleanliness of rooms and public spaces.

· Report safety hazards or incidents immediately to management and follow up as required.

· Ensure privacy practices and proper handling of confidential guest records are always maintained.

· Maintain safe working conditions and report maintenance issues for immediate resolution.

· Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents or power outages, following established hotel protocols.

Additional Responsibilities

· Assist with special projects or administrative duties assigned by the management team,

· Support other operational areas during peak periods or emergencies to maintain guest satisfaction.

· Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and leadership team.

· Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success and operational needs of the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

· Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Skills & Attributes

· Positive and outgoing personality with strong communication skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and make decisions effectively and in a timely manner.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift, carry and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies of up to 50 lbs as well as stand for extended period.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and work schedules, including evenings and weekends and overnights.

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with parking their vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor parking areas to ensure proper vehicle placement and adherence to regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parking facilities, including routine cleaning tasks.
  • Provide assistance to guests with their inquiries regarding parking services and local attractions.
  • Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the parking area, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and custodial experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
