Private Duty Overnight Medical Aide – Night Shift

Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Aide to work nights in our outpatient surgical recovery center, applicant must be compassionate and attentive. A Medical aide assists in providing the highest quality of care for our post cosmetic surgery patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

This is a night shift- (12 hours per shift, 6p-6a) working alongside the night registered nurse.

Duties:

• Assist patient with meals and restroom use
• Laundry, stocking and cleaning duties during down time
• Assist RN when needed

Expectations of Applicant:

• Must report to work regularly as scheduled. Must be consistently punctual with respect to working hours and break schedules.
• Comply with all rules of conduct and safety, follow directions and accept and respect authority
• Cooperate and consistently function harmoniously with all levels of supervision, fellow employees, clients, visitors, residents, vendors, and other business contacts
• Adopt and be able and willing to learn new methods and systems
• For a motivated candidate this position might expand to a higher involvement in surgery center preparation. Including cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Must demonstrate personal awareness, professionalism and integrity. Must exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance
• Practice good communication skills; comprehend written and verbal instructions when appropriate
• Will facilitate BLS certification if not already certified
