Overnight Kennel Technician (3rd Shift) – Thurman’s Place Boarding & Balanced Training | Lyles, TN

Nestled on 35 serene acres in Lyles, TN, Thurman’s Place is a Balanced Board & Train facility committed to providing a stress-free, structured environment. We exclusively board dogs that have trained with us, ensuring a safe and familiar setting for both pups and staff. Our tight-knit team takes pride in upholding the highest standards of care, cleanliness, and respect—for the animals, the property, and one another. Position: Overnight Kennel Technician (3rd Shift)
Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Compensation: $17.00–$18.00/hour (based on experience)
Location: Lyles, TN (on-site only)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain kennel cleanliness: sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize all areas
- Prep and distribute AM/PM meals
- Refill and sanitize water pails
- Charge and distribute e-collars
- Clean and organize kennels
- Wash bowls, water buckets, and gear
- Perform nightly yard sanitizing & monthly deep cleans
- Occasionally bathe dogs
- Prep dogs for next-morning pickups
What We’re Looking For:
- Either prior dog care or overnight (3rd shift) experience is required
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Basic animal first aid knowledge a plus
- Vet tech or assistant experience a plus
- Dog training experience a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Desire to grow with our team
