Part-time Hotel Night Porter Shanagarry

Ballymaloe House Hotel, Shanagarry, Co. Cork is currently recruiting for a part-time Night Porter to join our team.

Flexibility is essential for this role, night shifts and weekends are an essential part of this role.

Job Description and main duties:

• Receive handover from Duty Manager and night reception team
• Work closely with Reception night team and assist the guest with special requests.
• Adhere to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Hotel night duties
• Keep common areas clean and tidy
• Give advice to the guests on local activities and places to visit
• Assist with furniture or equipment moves, and rooms setup for events
• Responsibility for the cleanliness of the reception area, front of house terrace and common rooms areas on the ground floor.
• Room service to the guest rooms in accordance with the Hotel Policy
• To maintain open communication line with the team and the guests
• Be aware of sustainable principles at the Ballymaloe House and be cost conscious
• Carry out additional duties as requested by the manager on duty
• On occasions, support the Restaurant team
• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential information
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Fire and Security procedures
