Part Time Hotel Receptionist(Nights)

Scope of Role

The COMET HOTEL (Hatfield, Hertfordshire - 65 bedrooms, 1 bar / restaurant, 2 private boardrooms) looking for a Part Night Receptionist to join the team.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience that can ensure that guests receive the highest standard of hospitality as well as carry out administrative tasks in line with statutory and company guidelines.

Duties to include

· Ensure an efficient reception experience for all Guests, including check-in and check-out

· Complete audit procedures as directed by the Reception Manager

· Ensure a positive outcome for any guest queries in an efficient and timely manner

· Ensure that any relevant departments/ team members are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests

· Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times

· Attend appropriate training courses when required

· Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties

· Maximise room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities

· Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems

· Follow company Brand Standards

· Assist with other departments as necessary (F&B, Bar, Room Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance)

· Monitor all CCTV, FLS panels for the hotel and liaise with on-site Security

· Deal with any car parking issues and barriers

· Act as Fire Marshall in the event of an emergency

Skills/Experience

· Previous experience in Front Office within a hotel (ideally nights)

· Previous experience with cash handling

· Good level of IT skill

· Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

· Positive attitude and good communication skills

· Ability to work on own and as part of a team

· Previous experience in running Night Audit is a benefit
