A warm and outdoorsy family in Reno, NV, is seeking a nurturing, organized, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their sweet infant son, who will be 2.5 months old at the time of hire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and developmentally minded caregiver to support a growing family through their baby’s first year and beyond.

About the Family:

This faith-filled, active couple values calm, thoughtful energy in their home and enjoys spending time outdoors. They are excited to welcome a nanny who is kind, patient, and communicative, and who will create a loving and enriching environment for their son. Their household includes one friendly dog (a great walking companion) and a cuddly senior cat.

Your Role:

You’ll care for the baby three days a week, focusing on nurturing routines, developmental engagement, and supporting the family’s rhythm. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative home and genuinely enjoys working with infants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide warm, attentive infant care throughout the day
• Support sleep and feeding routines (experience with sleep training a plus!)
• Engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental play
• Support early communication—baby sign language is a bonus!
• Take the baby on walks and enjoy regular outdoor time
• Light housekeeping:
• Baby laundry
• Washing bottles and tidying play/mealtime areas
• Emptying the diaper genie
• Putting away clean dishes
• Light meal prep for parents when time allows (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating meat)
• Optional: Accompany family on occasional trips or overnights (with advance notice)

Ideal Candidate:

• Brings strong infant care experience and milestone knowledge
• Warm, grounded, and naturally communicative
• Enjoys working alongside parents in a collaborative way
• Active and comfortable spending time outdoors
• Tidy, organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable in a home with pets
• Willing to grow and learn alongside the family

Bonus Points For:

• Familiarity with baby sign language
• CPR/First Aid certified for infants
• Background in early childhood development
• Comfortable transporting a baby to outings or swim lessons in a reliable vehicle
