Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
  
  

Preferred

• Previous experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, or medical office administration
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy
• Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, insurance, and billing information into the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre-certifications, and ensure all required authorizations are in place
• Collect co-pays and provide receipts as required
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions about their appointments or billing
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow
• Resolve registration or documentation issues promptly
• Provide assistance to patients and families as needed to ensure a positive experience
