Please note this position is currently for (overnight) on Saturdays from 8:00PM to Sundays at 8:00am and Sundays from 8PM to Mondays at 8AM.

Shift differential is available for this position***
- Arrange medical appointments, therapy sessions, support groups, and other resources to aid the client
- Monitor the resident's behavior, schedule, medication, and activities
- Report any unusual behavior, conflicts, or recovery deviations to the relevant professionals
- Liaise with family members and medical professionals regularly
- Provide culturally appropriate recovery education and support-
- Refer and link clients to appropriate services, clinical and/or medical services as needed within the agency and in the community in an appropriate and timely manner
- Collaborate with the resident care team to develop a plan that is individualized for the resident

Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the resident's diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights
- Minimum of two years proven work experience as a Peer Support Specialist or similar role in Behavior Health, Substance Use Disorder Treatment or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly compassionate and attentive to details
- The ability to be on call for emergencies and work on weekends and public holidays
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Peer Support Specialist preferred

Candidates must hold a valid driver's license at the time of application and maintain it throughout the duration of employment
