Are you skilled in Maths and passionate about helping students achieve their best? We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable tutors to join our team in Belfast. If you have experience teaching or tutoring Maths at the post-primary level and a strong understanding of the Northern Ireland curriculum, we’d love to hear from you!
Your Role:
- Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group Maths tutoring sessions in person
- Support students from Key Stage 3 up to GCSE and A-Level (as applicable)
- Develop customised lesson plans to address learning gaps and build confidence
- Track student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Maintain clear and regular communication with parents or guardians
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level, preferably in Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year’s teaching or tutoring experience at the post-primary level
- Strong knowledge of the Northern Ireland post-primary Maths curriculum
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
- Professional, reliable, and approachable manner
- Patient and encouraging, especially with students who find Maths challenging
Preferred:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
- Experience supporting students with additional learning needs
What to Expect:
- A brief teaching demonstration will be part of the application process
- Commitment of at least one year is preferred
- All tutoring is conducted in person at students’ homes in Belfast or surrounding areas
- This is a self-employed role
Key Details:
- Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on lesson type and level)
- Hours: 4 to 25 hours per week (flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends)
- Requirements: UK bank account, right to work in Northern Ireland, enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to obtain)
