Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

What You’ll Do
This particular position is for a TEM operator working a night shift.
- Operate a state-of-the-art TEM in order to image semiconductor samples.
- Protect customer IP through procedure and vigilance.
- Receive and integrate feedback from imaging in service of continuous improvement to the sample preparation process.

FIB Sample prep will be taken care of by other techs before the samples reach you.
- Candidates looking to continue or advance a career in electron microscopy.
- People who see task repetition as an opportunity to iterate and innovate towards better methods.
- Careful, detail-oriented observers.
- Fondness of learning and ability to respond well to feedback.

Willingness to work a nightshift schedule.
- Experience operating HRTEM and S/TEM for imaging. Ideal candidates will have performed semiconductor or materials imaging.
- A BS or higher-level degree in a physical science such as Physics or Chemistry.
- Knowledge of the physics involved with FIB/SEM and TEM tools, such as vacuum systems, voltage/current effects, and ion sputtering behavior.
- Experience in customer IP protection and sample handling.
- Experience with TEM sample preparation using a FIB preferred.

Experience with EDS and EELS preferred.
