Attention Radiology Technician Assistants - Danbury Hospital - Radiology Team is GROWING!!
Part Time - 16 hour Night shift 11pm-7am or 12am-8am, every other weekend. Rotating holidays.

Previous healthcare experience or students pursuing radiology are strongly preferred. This is a union role and pay is based on full years of relevant experience beginning at $17/hour plus shift differential for night shift.

Assist technologists during procedures in order to expedite the best diagnosis to patient and deliver quality care.

Minimum Experience: zero to six months
Desired: Previous experience in radiological services, knowledge of human anatomy, knowledge of department procedures.
Working Conditions
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Significant occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Summary
Assist technologists during procedures in order to expedite the best diagnosis to patient and deliver quality care.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients, directs patient flow from waiting rooms to exam rooms. Has patient fill out proper forms if applicable.
- Evaluates patient prescriptions to ensure proper exam is performed pertaining to individual ailment.
- Orders and completes all cerner functions.
- Changes patient and prepares patient for procedure.
- Performs exam with technologist and offers assistance to patient, technologist, & radiologist throughout entire procedure.
- Retrieves x-rays, medical records, nuclear medicine reports and develops radiographs as needed.
- Brings films to radiologist to evaluate.
- Cleans exam room following procedures and restocks used materials.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
