Schedule: 7 on 7 off, Wednesday-Tuesday, night shift requirement on a rotating schedule
Position Reports To: Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) provides skilled expertise, executing world class maintenance practices and lubrication techniques. Providing support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or installation of new equipment associated with all aspects of the mine site including surface and underground operations. The Technician conducts preventative/corrective maintenance on all fixed plant systems. Red Seal Millwrights are an instrumental part of the planning team during the maintenance, installation, or modification of new or existing equipment.
- Executing condition based monitoring inspections
- Performing world class asset lubrication techniques
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Asset maintenance both on surface and underground
- Effectively communicating with all levels of the organization
- Providing feedback to reliability personnel regarding equipment strategy documents and improvement opportunities
- Red Seal Millwright Certification
- Experience on a mine site maintaining milling, crushing, conveying, and pumping equipment
- Understanding of reliability tools and techniques
- Knowledge of world class lubrication and oil sampling techniques
- Experience working in an underground mine
- A complimentary trade ticket i.e. Welder/Fabricator
- Experience using condition-based monitoring techniques
- Machinery Lubricant Training
- Other mechanical trade education. E.g., Diploma, certificate
- Experience working as a crew lead hand or supervisor, or in maintenance planning
- Experience working with SAP or other CMMS
