About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation Services, you will care for a diverse range of patients requiring specialised acute stroke care and rehabilitation. This role focuses on providing goal-edirected, interdisciplinary assessment, treatment, and recovery for patients aged 16 years and older. With opportunities to develop your skills across a wide specturum of care needs, this position offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
This position is permanent part-time working 32 hours per week. Working four days per week on a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team in Te Poutama Arawhiti includes an 8-bed Acute Stroke Unit and a 31-bed ward offering rehabilitation and spcialised health services for older people. We work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, striving to provide the highest quality rehabilitation services and maximising each patient's functional recovery. Our team values teamwork, compassion, and innovation in delivering exceptional care.
About you
The ideal candidate is a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse with an interest in acute stroke care and rehabilitation. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for supporting patients through recovery are essential.
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Two plus years nursing experience, preferably in stroke care, rehabilitation, or a related specialty.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Flexibility to work all shifts ( days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays) with a positive and adaptable approach.
