Job Description

Position Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Location: Ithaca, NY
Job Type: Contract | Travel
Shift: Night (12×3)
Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Hourly Pay: $65 to $74/hr
Weekly Pay: $2,340 to $2,664/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for an exciting Travel or Local job in Ithaca, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to maternal and child health patients, adhering to nursing standards and best practices.

  • Collect, document, and interpret patient data to inform care plans.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients, including physical, emotional, and educational needs.

  • Provide patient and family education regarding maternal and newborn health.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.

  • Float to the postpartum unit as required.

  • Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Assist with patient mobility and perform light lifting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN).

  • Current New York State RN license.

  • BLS required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire.

  • Preferred experience in postpartum or maternal-child nursing.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively, sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, and perform light lifting related to patient care.
