Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Psychiatric Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license
Certifications

Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Saint Luke’s is a Nicotine free (this includes patches, gum, vape, etc.) Health System – all travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire.

Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply. If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up

Required skills and experience: MoVechs - Time Sensitive Priority Requirement.

Preferred skills and experience: Treatment settings: Child/Adolescents, Eating Disorders, Forensic, Geriatric, Inpatient, Locked Unit, Medical/Psych, Outpatient, Residential/Group Home, Substance use/Chemical Dependency. Care of the Patient With: Anxiety disorders, Assault/violence, Bipolar Disorders, Congenital/Developmental Disorders, Degenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s), Depressive disorders, Eating Disorders, Personality disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder, Profound impulse control issues, Psychotic Disorders, Schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, Self-injurious behavior, Severe intellectual disabilities, Substance use, Suicidal behavior, Trauma-and Stressor-Related Disorders. Emergency care: Cardiac arrest / CPR, Emergent chemical restraints, Physical Hold Protocols. Legal Aspects: Use of seclusion, Voluntary /involuntary commitment. Medications/Methods of delivery: Antianxiety, Antidepressant, Antipsychotic, Medication Administration (PO, RECTAL, IM, IV, SC, etc), Mood stabilizer, Sedatives/Analgesics, Starting and maintaining IVs. Professional knowledge/skills: Blood glucose monitoring, Interpretation & communication of lab values, Seclusion protocols/procedures. Therapeutic Approaches/Treatment Modalities: Behavior management techniques, Crisis Intervention, De-escalation techniques, Managing Assaultive Behavior, Psychoeducation.

Required credentials: Trauma Informed Care Training and Zero Suicide Training required. Missouri Children's Division BG Check required. Drivers License/State ID. Government issued photo ID.

Shift & schedule requirements: Every Sunday Night Shift or every Friday Night Shift or Every other Friday Night Shift

Special request requirements: SSN, RTO and scheduling requests required at submission. No travel partners accepted.

  • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
