Registered Nurse - Waverley Lodge Care Home

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to work with the Home Manager and other trained nurses.

You must be committed to providing exceptional patient care, creating a safe and supportive environment for residents with a range of physical and mental needs, while also using your professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor residents for any adverse reactions.
• Conduct thorough assessments of resident’s health status, including vital signs and medical history.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans based on resident needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care and improve health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills.

Requirements

• Valid registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Proven experience in patient care within a Care Home setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to empathise with patients.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in nursing practice.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £21.30 per hour
