Residential Support Worker

Support Worker Requirements:

• Hold a Level 5 in Healthcare Support/ Social Studies.
• Be of an empathetic nature.
• Be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Have the ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Experience working in a regulated Social Care Setting preferred.
• Full Clean Manual Drivers Licence.

Key Tasks Include:

• Provide both emotional support and personal care to service users.
• Liaise professionally with significant people in the service users life such as parents and siblings.
• Support and encourage service users to learn new skills.
• Assist service users in achieving their goals and aspirations.
• Arrange and actively engage in age-appropriate activities.
• Attend scheduled activities and medical appointments.
• Complete key working sessions.
• Liaise professionally with Clinicians- Behaviour Support Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapist.
• Supervise service users in accordance with their support requirements.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts.
• Day shift.
• Night shift.
• Sleepovers.
• Weekend availability.
• Weekly Roster.

Work Authorisation: Ireland (required)
