Restaurant Server

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food service operations. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently in a fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while maintaining knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and wine pairings.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and service standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant settings, preferably with fine dining experience.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
• Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, enhancing understanding of food preparation processes.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining guest relations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.81 - $30.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
