Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team in Chicago. As an RN in the Emergency Room, you’ll be at the frontline of patient care—identifying medical conditions, providing immediate support, and managing emergencies with precision and empathy. You will work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver top-tier, time-sensitive care while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.

This is a full-time, in-person role working 12-hour shifts (7AM–7:30PM, 11AM–11PM, or 7PM–7:30AM). Candidates must have relevant certifications and experience in Emergency Nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered emergency care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies.
• Manage discharge planning and provide clear documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Utilize hospital resources efficiently while maintaining high-quality care.
• Participate in continuous learning and maintain unit-specific competencies.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in BSN program (preferred)
• Current RN license (Illinois – required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• 1–3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
• SANE certification and on-call availability (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and capable of thriving in a high-pressure environment
