Rock Truck Operator

Howitt Construction is a busy excavation company based out of Red Deer. We're looking for experienced nightshift & dayshift rock truck operators for a site preparation project located 80 minutes NW of Whitecourt. Transportation will be provided from Whitecourt to/from work site. Work contract is approx 2 months long.

Candidates must be able to perform all the skills in the Scope of Work, and work in a safe manner following all policies and procedures.

Work Details

• 10 - 11 hr working shifts plus 1 hr of paid drive time, transportation provided,
• 7 days a week, long weekends off (4 days)
• Hotel accommodation/LOA available,
• Must have: high visibility vest, steel toed boots, safety glasses, gloves and hard hat.

Rock Truck Scope of Work

• Minimum of 5 months experience,
• Operate machine safely,
• Dump loads where directed,
• Maintain consistent distance when pulling up to excavator,
• Complete walk arounds,
• Fuel and grease own machine.

PPE Requirements

• Steel toed boots,
• High visibility safety vest,
• Safety glasses,
• Hard hat,
• Gloves.
