Job Description
The hourly rate begins at $24.77 during the introductory period and increases to $30.03 after completing 60-days worked. In addition, PCA offers a competitive benefits package.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the product is moved from the truck or railcar to the staging area in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain and perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform lockout/tag out procedures on railcars and follow dok-lok and all safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices at all times.
- Efficiently provide the corrugator with accurate rolls
- Pick and stage orders and load and unload trucks and railcars, while maintaining inventory integrity through proper handling and storage.
- Other assigned tasks as assigned.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- One year stable work history
- The open position will be on swing or graveyard shift; therefore, candidates must be willing to work these shifts and overtime as needed. We do pay a .50 cent shift differential.
- Previous mobile equipment experience.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to safely meet production requirements while working independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Certified industrial driver or ability to get certified in a timely manner.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Ability to work with basic computer programs.
- Basic math skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
- Experience loading/unloading railcars and/or trucks.
- Prior experience with scanning materials and reconciling inventory.
