Job Title: RV Fulfillment and Orientation Specialist (1099 Contractor)

Location: Apex, NC (local work within a 25-mile radius)

Pay: $25/hour
1099 contractor position. Fuel reimbursement is available for work-related driving (mileage must be tracked and submitted).

About the Role:

High Road Travel is a luxury RV rental company based in Apex, NC. We're looking for a reliable and personable individual to assist with in-person walkthroughs of our RVs and occasional local deliveries. You’ll help ensure our renters start their trips with confidence by explaining how the RV works, answering questions, and making sure everything is ready to go.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with renters to walk them through the RV at pickup
• Explain how to operate major systems (slide-outs, electric, water, climate control, etc.)
• Occasionally deliver RVs to local campsites or driveways (rare)
• Complete a pre-rental checklist to verify fuel level, cleanliness, and readiness
• Coordinate directly with the company owner on scheduling and renter needs
• Track your time and mileage for invoicing and reimbursement

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (the company does not provide a work vehicle)
• Friendly and professional communication skills
• Comfortable driving or maneuvering Class C RVs (training can be provided)
• Physically able to climb stairs and hook up water/electric systems
• Dependable and punctual

Preferred Experience (not required):

• Experience in RV sales, rentals, or driving
• Customer service or hospitality background
• Confidence working with families and first-time renters

Schedule:

This is a flexible, on-call position with variable hours. Some weeks may have no work at all, while others may require up to 6-8 hours of work, depending on rental demand. Work is typically scheduled in advance, but some flexibility is needed. Mornings and early evenings are the most common timeframes for walkthroughs. Weekend availability may occasionally be required.
