Sanitation Technician

Continental Night Shift 6:45pm-7am

This position is responsible for all cleaning activities necessary for the cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility. Required to assist in production areas when needed. The Sanitor ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleans sanitizes all areas in the plant – floors, walls, ceilings, and railings rack support as per the master sanitation checklist or as directed by the Sanitation and Operations Teams.
• Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipment.

● Keep all working areas in production departments of facility in clean and sanitary condition.
● Monitors employee parking lot for garbage.
● Wipes fire extinguishers, lamps, fans, ledges, pipe insulation and dispenses of any garbage.
● Assist in cleaning up spills.
● Operates and maintains floor scrubber on a daily basis.
● Responsible for the wash-bay chemical inventory.
● Cross training required to assist in production situations in the case of absenteeism and vacation coverage.
● Ensure compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.

About you

• Available to work Continental Night Shift 6:45pm-7am
• High School Diploma.
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment an asset.
• Arial Lift and/or Working from Heights experience/certification is an asset.
• Must be able to freely move around entire facility.
• Must be able to lift 55lbs.
• Exposure to excessive noise, heat and dust.
• Mild chemical exposure.
