About Us:

We are seeking an experienced and professional Control Room Supervisor to join our team in Central London. This is a high-profile external role, where you will lead and support a team of 4 officers to ensure the premises remain secure and protected from potential risks, including protest activity.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK DAYS AND WILL NEED CONTROL ROOM EXPERIENCE.

Preferred - CCTV Licence

Details:

Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 48 hours per week.

The candidate should also be able to cover day shifts, including holiday and sickness absence.

Pay Rate: £17.22

Location: Canary Wharf

Job Description:

• Staff the security control room and operate all the functions, to agreed levels, within it including CCTV, alarm and telephonic and radio systems, as well as the distribution of keys, recording details in the logbook as appropriate;
• Direct patrolling security officers to attend incidents and help co-ordinate situations with the Manager;
• Record all incidents in the appropriate format and write concise and accurate incident reports as necessary;
• Deal professionally with clients, individuals, colleagues and security officers;
• Undertake staff training as required and receive guidance and instruction from the Manager when necessary. Help train new members of staff in working at Security Services and complete assessment forms as required;
• Carry out special duties, if and when required;
• Any other duty as detailed.

Person Specification

• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written;
• Proficient IT skills, including Outlook;
• An ability to act calmly and make decisions in difficult/crisis situations;
• An ability to write out detailed reports for management/clients
• Flexible and able to work nights, days and weekends as per the roster
• Knowledge of Timegate a definite advantage
• Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information
• Attention to detail
