Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our older residents in a residential care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, supervising care assistants, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and colleagues. Your leadership skills will be essential in guiding the team to deliver exceptional care.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Develop and implement person centred care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences.
- Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance on best practices in senior care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages social interaction among residents.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & social Care or similar is essential.
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
- Applicants will need to be able to prove they have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants who require any type of sponsorship to be to work in the UK.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents and their families compassionately.
- Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs is highly desirable.
- IT proficiency for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
- A genuine drive to improve the quality of life for elderly individuals in a care home setting.
