Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Care Home
Location: Northampton
Salary: Approx. £30,000 per year (including sleep-ins)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About Us
We are a specialist, Ofsted-registered children’s residential care provider in Northampton, offering therapeutic care for children with complex needs in small, solo homes. Our team works closely with psychologists and therapists to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support. We provide extensive staff training, including:
- PRICE (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment)
- Positive Behavior Support (PBS)
- Attachment and trauma-informed care
The Role
We are looking for experienced Senior Residential Support Workers (day and night shifts) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled practitioners who are ready to take on greater responsibility in a senior role, supporting children and leading staff within our homes.
A Deputy Manager vacancy is also available.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support junior residential staff
- Support and guide young people through key work sessions
- Ensure care plans are followed and therapeutic strategies implemented
- Work closely with management to maintain Ofsted standards and compliance
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and family-like environment
What We’re Looking For
- QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children’s home regulations
- Experience in a senior support worker role within a children’s residential setting
- Understanding of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic care
- Motivated, proactive, and confident in leading a team
