Summary

We are seeking a passionate Server to join our hospitality team as we ramp up for a busy golfing season at Midland Country Club. In this role, you will assist in providing top-tier service to our club members in our restaurant and banquet settings, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our members.

Responsibilities

• Employ strong communication skills to engage with club members warmly and professionally, ensuring that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, including chefs and line cooks, as well as fellow servers, to guarantee a smooth workflow during service. This includes timely food preparation and delivery, as well as addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions from club members.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including daily specials, to confidently answer questions and make recommendations that enhance the dining experience.
• Assure that tables are consistently clean and well-presented, conducting frequent checks throughout service to refresh beverages and address any needs that may arise for the guests.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism by adhering to club policies and procedures, ensuring that each interaction reflects the values of Midland Country Club.
• Handle any customer complaints or concerns with grace and urgency, seeking to resolve issues effectively to uphold the club’s reputation for exceptional service.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years in a high-end dining environment is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage guests and provide personalized service in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations, including proper sanitation practices and safe food storage techniques to ensure a safe dining experience.
• Previous experience working in a hotel environment is advantageous, as it often involves catering events and accommodating diverse needs.
• Strong verbal communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with guests and team members. Must be able to convey information clearly and concisely both in person and over the phone.
• Hands-on experience in serving food and beverages in both formal and informal settings is required. This includes knowledge of table settings, menu selections, and service etiquette.
• Food Handlers License (required)
• TABC (required)
