Set Up/Punch Press Operator

Job description:

We are located at 8271 Keele Street, Concord, Ontario

Shift Available:* Afternoon Shift** (3:00pm to 11:00pm)

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with all die protection sensors and Operating switches.
• Check tonnage and lead setting during set-up
• Ensure all reporting is as per the instructions provided on the In process Control Plan
• Inspect all designated parts continually as instructed
• Follow and update press set up sheets (corrections in conjunction with the supervisor)
• Prepare the press for the die by ensuring the working area is clean and all unnecessary items are removed
• Ensure that die is properly placed on machine
• Adjust lead setting
• Follow First-off and Last-off procedures by taking the first and last parts off the press to Quality Assurance for inspection/approval.
• Supply Last-off progressive strip and two Last-off parts on tool when finished production run
• Clean up die with air blower at end of each coil
• Ensure all parts are identified correctly and information on labels is correct and legible
• Assist with coil changes
