Shift leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Provide training and support to new employees, including interviewing potential candidates.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and kitchen areas.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
