Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings. Your ability to upsell and assist guests with their dining choices will contribute significantly to the overall atmosphere of our establishment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for order processing.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in their choices.
- Upsell additional items such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of the meal service.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and standards when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic culinary knowledge is an advantage for better communication with kitchen staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service is essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
- Bar experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
