Agriculture Night Shift Full-time

Job Description

ANZCO Foods Canterbury have a number of Slaughterer positions available, these positions require at least 1 years prior relevant experience. There are positions available on day and night shift.

ANZCO Foods Canterbury is located on Seafield Road, Ashburton. Applicants must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays when required. These positions are full-time, minimum 30 hours per week, delivering a minimum of $705.00 per week with the potential to earn more when all allowances including piece rates are taken into consideration. Hours will fluctuate above 30 hours in line with seasonal workflows due to the seasonal nature of the business and annual close-down periods.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Daily Operations:

  • Operating restrainer and stunning equipment
  • Severing jugular veins of stunned animals to drain blood and facilitate dressing
  • Removing heads, legs, tails and hide/skins.
  • Remove all internal organs
  • Trimming faults and maintaining hygiene and safe work practices
  • Clean and sanitise work equipment and work areas

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • 1-year prior relevant experience is required
  • Reliability and strong team players
  • Commitment to safety and quality excellence
