We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that delight our guests.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Help manage kitchen operations during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
Skills
- Strong background in restaurant operations with hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Proficient in food handling practices and knowledgeable about health and safety regulations.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate others.
- Experience in restaurant management is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of kitchen workflows.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for hospitality and customer service.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
