Job Description

Nous recrutons actuellement un sous-chef pour diriger notre équipe culinaire dans notre cuisine récemment rénovée. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience en conception de menus, en préparation culinaire et en gestion des stocks. Il doit être capable de travailler en équipe et de suivre les ordres du chef de cuisine, tout en étant capable de prendre les décisions appropriées en cas d'absence de ce dernier. Ce poste est une excellente occasion d'approfondir ses connaissances en conception de menus tout en acquérant de l'expérience en gestion de personnel de cuisine.

Responsabilités
- Assister le chef dans la planification, la préparation et l'exécution des différents menus.
- Participer à la formation et à la gestion du personnel de cuisine.
- S'assurer que les produits sont conformes aux normes de sécurité alimentaire, conformément aux spécifications MAPAQ.
- Gérer et faire tourner les produits alimentaires afin de garantir la fraîcheur et la rentabilité des produits.
- Participer à la gestion des commandes et à la gestion des stocks.
- Maintenir une cuisine propre et organisée.

Exigences
- Être organisé, capable de s'adapter et de travailler sous pression.
- Maîtriser les techniques culinaires classiques et leur application.
- Être titulaire d'un diplôme de formation culinaire ou équivalent.
- Avoir au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire.
- Être disponible pour travailler les soirs et les week-ends.
- Être capable de travailler debout pendant de longues périodes.
- Être capable de soulever au moins 22,5 kg.
- Être calme et positif, car vous seriez un exemple pour le reste de l'équipe.

We are currently hiring a Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team in our newly renovated kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in menu design, food preparation, and inventory management. The successful candidate must be able to work well on a team and will follow the orders of the Head Chef but should also be capable of making appropriate decisions in the case that the Head Chef is not available. This position would be a great opportunity to learn more about menu design while gaining experience managing a kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

  • -to aid the chef in the planning, preparation and execution of various menus.
  • -to aid in training and management of kitchen staff.
  • - to ensure the product is to the standards of food safety laws in accordance with mapaq specifications.
  • -the management and rotation of food products to ensure the freshest and cost efficient product.
  • -to aid with ordering and maintenance of inventory.
  • - to maintain a sanitary and organized kitchen.

Requirements

  • -must be an organized individual who is adaptive and able to perform under pressure.
  • -must have a functional knowledge of classic cooking techniques and their application.
  • -must have a diploma from a culinary training program or its equivalent.
  • -must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • -must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • -must be capable of working standing for long periods of time.
  • -must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs/22.5kg.
  • -must have a calm and positive demeanor as you would be the example to the rest of the team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
