Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Superintendent/structure engineer to understand and follow up of the project schedules
- Expedite the site fabrication and installation works with the allocated sub-contractor teams in achieving targeted progress
- Updating and reporting project progress reports and plan for one week ahead of activities to be completed
- Red Line Mark Up drawings to be done progressively and update engineering
- Work closely with Superintendent/structure engineer for drawing and site discrepancies, equipment structural clash checks for trouble shooting of fabrication matters and get information for site coordination
- Maintain and keep the remnant material record for final reconciliation of materials.
- Coordinate and organize scaffolding erection and de-staging plan and activities with all trades
- Follow-up of all fabrication and installation job fit up, welding and inspection
- Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of works
- Understand contractors' scope of work and manage/ensure subcontractor performance in line with provided schedule
- Capture and prepare timesheets for submission for any drawing changes, modifications and scope variations – subcon SI, JCS/JCF, etc.
- Provide the necessary information to prepare MOS and JSA arrangement and follow up to get the lifting plan arrangement drawings
- Issue materials to subcontractors based on work front for one week and account for offcut materials traceability and records
- Prepare the nesting requests upon receiving the drawings not less than three days and maintaining the record
- Maintain files of DM shop drawings in running drawing number – saved for Master copy and site copy. One copy of Client drawings to be filed.
- Maintain weekly constructed weight and MTO, and check against sub-con claims
- Progress claims to be verified and signed within three working days
- Ensure that toolbox meeting to ensure it is completed accordingly -Handover ongoing works in written to night shift Supervisor
- Maintain in site co-ordination of housekeeping activities and safety activities for allocated locations/jobs/modules with various disciplines
Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering/Marine Offshore or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Shipyard operations involving structure fabrication supervision works
- Experience in managing a workforce of sub-contractors/workers and directing them in Structure fabrication and installation
- Able to lead/chair daily discussions with sub-contractor supervisors for daily progress updates
