Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of food safety practices. As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sandwiches while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Your role will also involve engaging with customers and promoting our menu offerings through upselling techniques.

Duties

• Prepare high-quality sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain food safety standards by ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Assist in the preparation of other food items as required, adhering to kitchen protocols.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including regular cleaning of work surfaces and equipment.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Engage with customers, providing excellent service and upselling menu items when appropriate.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic maths skills for handling orders and managing inventory effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
• Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
• A passion for food and a desire to create enjoyable dining experiences for customers.
