Transportation Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Ops Manager to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of freight and managing a team of drivers and logistics personnel. This role requires strong communication skills, freight knowledge, and a commitment to safety and compliance within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. while finding the highest paid freight in the market.
• Coordinate with freight shippers and suppliers to optimize shipping routes and schedules.
• Oversee the operation of transport vehicles, ensuring they are in compliance with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders regarding transportation needs and updates.
• Implement best practices for moving freight, including load planning and route optimization.
• Train and supervise drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver logs, and compliance documentation., and financial reporting.
• Address any issues related to freight movement or vehicle performance promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics is preferred.
• Strong freight operations knowledge to troubleshoot any issues as they arise.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices for freight movement.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with external partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
